I was told a long time ago that the only true stupid question is the question you don't ask! So, I ask questions. Some sound very intelligent, and well organized. Some sound absolutely insane, and have nothing to do with the subject. But, I ask anyways!

That is why I enjoy asking questions in a forum like Hub Pages. It is open to all who seek an answer to their most puzzling questions. You never know who is going to ask, and who will answer. I have seen questions that range from "How to make Chocolate Chip Cookies?" to "What lies beyond the cosmos?"

Also, your questions don't have to be personal. You can ask question out of mere curiosity! I personally have asked questions that had nothing to do with my personal beliefs but, to get a feel of what others are thinking on a particular subject. Those questions seem to be the funnest questions to ask!

The answers can be just as interesting as the questions! I have seen everything from a simple one liner to something that almost looked like a novel. Some very informative, and others that seem to attack the author of the question.

Now, before deciding to go into the question, and answer forums remember some etiquette:

  1. Remember, there is never a stupid question! So, ask away!
  2. Make your question as clear as possible! A question cannot be answered if nobody knows what is being asked.
  3. Don't ask a question that is derogatory, crude, and tasteless! Try to ask in a way that is respectful, and at the same time get your point across.
  4. When answering a question be informative! Tell them what you know, but not too boring.
  5. Respect those who asked the question! The question was asked for a reason. You don't know why the question was asked therefore, answer with respect!
  6. Respect those who have answered the question before you! Just because you disagree with an somebody's answer does not mean you should insult them! Remember, you can vote on the answers.
  7. Finally, of you don't like the question that is being asked, skip it! If you don't like it  than don't answer! There is nothing worse than rallying on somebody because  they found the question insulting. Skip it, and go to the next question!

If you follow these little guidelines I am sure you will fine asking, and answering, questions on Hub Pages fun, and enjoyable!

Very sound advice. I agree with you. Questions are good. Ask away. :)
